Braton has less ammo, fires slower, has slightly bigger AoE and does more damage per shot. However, if you give it Critical Delay for 200% CC it will fire a bit too slow than is ideal. Like Astilla more or less. Burston has more ammo and much higher fire rate. It fires like Baza for example.

In Warframe weapon can be considered great if it has either HUGE raw DPS, good crit potential or good DPS+utility. Burston Prime has some utility (it heals with syndicate aigment) but has no crit potential and it's raw damage is not that awesome.
